The European Commission is inviting research and innovation projects that explore how Europe can strengthen sustainable competitiveness, productivity, welfare and the European social model in response to global geopolitical, technological, demographic, environmental and economic changes.
The programme focuses on analysing sustainable competitiveness in light of shifts in geopolitics, global trade patterns, climate change, environmental challenges including biodiversity loss, technology, and demography.
The action is part of the Horizon Europe programme under HORIZON Research and Innovation Actions (HORIZON-RIA). The total funding available for this topic is €12,000,000. Any legal entity, regardless of its place of establishment, may participate in the programme, including entities from non-associated third countries and international organisations, provided the conditions of the Horizon Europe Regulation and the specific call requirements are met.
Eligible participants may include beneficiaries, affiliated entities, associated partners, entities without legal personality under certain conditions, EU bodies, Joint Research Centre participants, and associations or interest groupings.
