The GoGettaz Agripreneur Prize Competition is inviting applications to support and showcase young African agripreneurs developing innovative and impactful solutions across the food and agribusiness sector.
The focus areas of this competition include innovation in agrifood systems, technology and digital solutions, nutrition and food security, job creation, climate resilience, and gender equity. It also emphasizes entrepreneurship development, scalable agribusiness models, and impact-driven solutions across agricultural production, processing, aggregation, logistics, and related value chains.
The initiative targets young entrepreneurs across African Union member states who are developing innovative and scalable solutions within the agrifood sector. It aims to support the growth of youth-led agribusiness ventures that contribute to sustainable food systems and economic development.
The competition highlights the importance of strengthening Africa’s food systems by empowering young entrepreneurs who are addressing key challenges in agriculture and agribusiness. It provides a platform for visibility, mentorship, and financial support to accelerate impactful business models.
The GoGettaz Agripreneur Prize Competition 2026 offers a total prize pool of $160,000, including a $50,000 grand prize awarded to one male-led and one female-led business. Additional impact awards totaling $60,000 are provided to businesses excelling in areas such as technology and innovation, nutrition and food security, job creation, climate resilience, and gender equity.
Eligible applicants must be aged between 18 and 35, be nationals of an African Union member state, and have a legally registered or soon-to-be-registered venture headquartered within an AU member state. Applicants must also be founders or co-founders actively involved in business operations and must meet all eligibility requirements outlined in the competition.
