Deadline Date: August 18, 2026
The Innovation Fund Denmark has launched a funding call to support the establishment of quantum test and demonstration facilities to strengthen Denmark’s position in quantum technology and accelerate industrial development.
The focus areas include quantum technology development, fabrication of quantum components, system integration and testing, validation of emerging quantum technologies, demonstration environments, pilot facilities, testbeds, scalable infrastructure development, industrial application of quantum solutions, commercialisation of quantum technologies, and strengthening the national quantum ecosystem in Denmark.
This initiative aims to reinforce Denmark’s leadership in quantum technology by supporting facilities that enable testing, validation, and demonstration of quantum technological solutions with strong industrial and commercial potential. It is designed to accelerate the transition of quantum research into practical applications and scalable technologies.
The programme supports the development of national capabilities in areas such as fabrication, integration, and validation of quantum systems. It focuses on creating environments that allow emerging quantum technologies to be tested and prepared for industrial deployment.
Funding is available for the establishment of test and demonstration facilities, including pilot setups, testbeds, and modular infrastructures. Operational costs after establishment are not covered under this call.
The total budget for the programme is DKK 49 million, with individual project funding ranging from DKK 10 million to DKK 49 million. The maximum funding intensity is 50 percent of eligible project costs.
Eligible applicants include companies investing in quantum technologies in Denmark, as well as universities, GTS institutes, and other organisations. Applications may be submitted individually or in consortia, provided the facility contributes to the Danish quantum ecosystem.
