ICAR SHITIJ 2.0 is a national startup incubation program supporting Indian entrepreneurs with innovative solutions in agriculture, offering free two-month mentoring, technology validation, and access to funding opportunities.
ICAR SHITIJ 2.0 is a flagship incubation initiative under the National Agricultural Innovation Fund (NAIF), designed to strengthen India’s agri-startup ecosystem by connecting 50 incubation centres across the country. The program aims to accelerate innovation and commercialization in agriculture by providing a robust support network for early-stage entrepreneurs and startups.
The program focuses on plant health and precision agriculture, offering advanced incubation infrastructure, scientific mentoring, business support, and access to a research ecosystem. Participants benefit from structured incubation, technology validation, and expert guidance to help scale their innovations and bring impactful solutions to the agricultural sector.
Eligible applicants must be Indian citizens who are founders of startups with an innovation, idea, product, or solution relevant to agriculture. The application process is free of cost, and third-party involvement is not encouraged. Applicants are required to complete an online form and submit a presentation using the provided template, ensuring the founder’s name matches their Aadhar card.
Selected startups will receive two months of free mentoring, access to expert guidance, technology validation, and opportunities to connect with funding sources, investors, and corporate partners. The program is designed to foster sustainable growth, market access, and investment readiness for agritech startups.
