The Environmental Investment Fund of Namibia is inviting grant proposals from eligible individuals and organisations to support projects that promote environmental sustainability and green economic development across the country.
The proposals should focus on Sustainable Natural Resource Utilisation & Management, Sustainable Tourism MSMEs, Nature-based Enterprises & Natural Resource Value Addition, Green Technologies, Low Carbon Development, Renewable Energy & Energy Efficiency Initiatives, Sustainable Agriculture / Climate Smart Agriculture, and Solid Waste Management & Recycling, including MSMEs. The Institutional Grants Facility supports initiatives under the thematic areas of Climate Change, Biodiversity Loss, Land Degradation, and Green Enterprises.
The grant opportunity is open to Individuals, Non-Community Based Organisations (Non-CBOs), Women’s Groups, Youth Groups, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), Non-Profit Organisations (NPOs), and People Living with Disabilities. Through this funding, the Environmental Investment Fund aims to support projects that contribute to environmental protection and sustainable economic activities.
Successful proposals may receive funding ranging from N$50,000.00 to N$150,000.00. Applicants are required to provide cellphone numbers, as notifications regarding the outcome of the application process will be communicated through mass media. Successful applicants will also be published in print media, on the EIF website, and on the EIF social media platforms.
Applications submitted after the closing date or delivered as walk-in or unsolicited submissions will not be considered or responded to.
