Deadline Date: September 04, 2026
Applications are now open for early-stage startups with an idea, an MVP, or a startup ready to grow through a six-week accelerator program in Cyprus.
The program supports startups at the concept stage or with an MVP without users. It provides comprehensive foundational courses, mentorship, networking opportunities, pitching experience, investor exposure, and the chance to compete for cash prizes.
The Accelerator is open to Stage 1 (concept/idea) and Stage 2 (MVP without users) startups. Over six weeks, participating teams receive mentorship, foundational learning, networking opportunities, and support to help develop their business. The program concludes with a final competition where teams pitch against other early-stage startups for a chance to win a cash prize and present their startup to investors.
Participation requires attendance at nine in-person accelerator sessions, with at least one team member present at each session. Applicants do not need to have a registered company to apply. However, if a team wins a cash prize, they must register a company in Cyprus to receive the prize. Existing companies are eligible only if they are registered in Cyprus and have been established within the last five years.
The funding limit for applicants is €50,000. Companies or teams must not have raised more than €50,000 in equity capital or grants before applying. Teams that have received more than €50,000 in investments or grants must disclose these funds in detail in their application. Prize winners are also required to submit audited records, invoices, or receipts showing how the prize funds were used one year after receiving them. If any funds remain unused, they must provide a plan explaining how the remaining amount will be allocated.
To be eligible, each team must consist of at least two members, with at least one team member being a resident of the Republic of Cyprus. All applicants must be over 18 years of age. Teams that have previously won a prize through CyEC are not eligible to apply again. All other teams may apply up to two times, provided they continue to meet the program’s eligibility requirements. Applications must also be submitted within the specified online submission deadlines. The organizing committee reserves the right to disqualify applications that do not meet the program’s standards or objectives.
