Apply Now: I&P Acceleration WE4A – Women Entrepreneurship for Africa

Deadline Date: January 06, 2026

The I&P Acceleration WE4A program presents a meaningful opportunity for women-led small and medium-sized enterprises in several African countries — especially those in green and transition sectors — to access tailored financial, technical, and mentoring support.

The program is part of the broader pan-African initiative Investing in Young Businesses in Africa – Women Entrepreneurship for Africa (IYBA WE4A), co-financed by international development partners and designed to help bridge the financing and support gaps that many women entrepreneurs face.

Through WE4A, women-owned or co-owned businesses in countries such as Cameroon, Senegal, Togo and Uganda can apply for support under a structured acceleration framework. This framework helps early-stage and growth-stage firms prepare for formalization, access debt or capital finance, and receive critical guidance on business planning, financial management, impact strategy and growth pathways. The goal is to enable high-potential women-led enterprises — particularly in environmentally sustainable or climate-aligned ventures — to transition from informal beginnings to robust, formal operations capable of scaling and creating sustainable impact.

For those ready for growth, there are options to access guaranteed loans, repayable financing without collateral, and technical assistance to support expansion, investment readiness or value-creation. This combination of flexible financing and capacity building aims to overcome the barriers of limited access to capital and institutional constraints that often hinder women business owners in Africa.

Eligible ventures must be women-led and active in green or transition sectors, including renewable energy, sustainable agriculture, circular economy, waste management, ecotourism, and other environmentally conscious or low-carbon industries. By focusing on these sectors, the program not only promotes gender equality and entrepreneurship but also supports broader goals of ecological sustainability and climate resilience.

For women entrepreneurs operating in challenging contexts, the I&P Acceleration WE4A program offers a powerful chance to formalize their business, strengthen governance and financial structures, gain access to affordable financing, and scale their operations. For ventures committed to green impact and social transformation, this program provides both a support system and a platform to grow sustainably, make a difference and contribute to a more inclusive and resilient economic future.
