Apply for AI Fund to empower Nigerian AI startups

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is transforming industries worldwide, driving innovation, efficiency, and new business models. To unlock the full potential of AI in Nigeria, NCAIR in collaboration with Google is launching the AI Fund, a dedicated initiative to inspire and nurture the next generation of AI-powered startups in Nigeria.

The N100Million fund, developed in collaboration between the National Centre for Artificial Intelligence and Robotics (NCAIR) and Google, represents a commitment to nurturing the next generation of AI-driven solutions in Nigeria. With this fund, they are not only investing in technology but in the people who will drive that technology forward.

The AI Fund in Collaboration with Google is an initiative designed to empower 10 Nigerian startups leveraging AI in their technology products.

Funding Information

• The Nigeria AI Fund offers Nigerian startups access to the essential resources, mentorship, and networks they need to elevate their innovations. Startups selected for this program will benefit from:
  • Funding: Up to ₦10Million to accelerate their growth.
  • Access to AI Tools: Access to Google’s world-class AI tools and infrastructure to help scale solutions.
  • Mentorship: Opportunities to work closely with Google’s AI experts, gaining insights and guidance.
  • Global Networks: The chance to connect with a global network of innovators and partners.
  • Sectoral Impact: The ability to create AI-driven solutions across sectors such as healthcare, agriculture, education, and governance, contributing to real-world impact.

Eligibility Criteria

• Company:
  • Headquartered in Nigeria.
  • Building solutions for the Nigerian market and potentially African/global market.
  • Demonstrated market fit and significant growth potential.
• Founders:
  • At least one Nigerian founder.
  • Relevant experience and a strong team positioned for success.
• Tech:
  • Core AI Technology Company with a live product in the market.
  • Compatibility with Google products and potential to leverage them for growth.
