Calling all Canadian Entrepreneurs! MindFrame Connect, in partnership with the Diversity Institute is inviting founders and entrepreneurs within the Canadian entrepreneurial ecosystem who identify as: Women+, 2SLGBTQ+, Black and racialized people, people living with a disability, and Indigenous peoples to share their experiences.
MindFrame Connect, funded by the Future Skills Centre, launched two years ago with the goal of upskilling Canadian entrepreneurs and improving the craft of mentorship. Throughout the pilot, programming included the rollout of workshops, eCourses, video and asynchronous learning content, academic research and reporting, as well as ecosystem events across Canada.
In reviewing the data and findings from the last two years, the now aim to build on the results and focus Fall 2023 on facilitating 90-min focus groups within equity-deserving groups to better understand the Canadian entrepreneurial ecosystem and what self-identified gaps can be shared, ensuring diverse perspectives and experiences are valued and integrated into the mentorship journey and support future programming.
Criteria
- Six focus-groups will be taking place throughout November, and participants will have the option to select the date and time that works best with their schedule.
- All data collected during the focus groups will remain anonymous, and will be used by MindFrame Connect and the Diversity Institute to support future programs and projects. It will also serve as an opportunity for continuous learning, improving MindFrame Connect’s efforts in relation to equity-deserving groups, as well as the approach to the Canadian ecosystem as the continue to upskill entrepreneurs and improve the craft of mentorship.
