Are you a disabled entrepreneur with a clever business product or service? Have you already started a business but need a little extra boost to move to the next level? The Stelios Awards for Disabled Entrepreneurs are back with three life-changing top prizes.
The Stelios Awards for Disabled Entrepreneurs UK is jointly run by Leonard Cheshire Disability and the Stelios Philanthropic Foundation. It recognises the achievements of disabled entrepreneurs who have set up their own company.
What are the prizes?
- Prize money totalling £200,000 will be available this year.
- There are three prizes:
- £100,000
- £60,000
- £40,000
- The overall winner will receive their grand prize of £100,000 at an online Awards Ceremony via Zoom on 9 July 2024.
Who can apply?
- The awards are open to disabled applicants over the age of 18 operating in the UK only.
- To be eligible, a disabled entrepreneur must own at least 50 per cent of the applying company.
- The awards are only open to UK-registered for-profit companies.
- The applicant company must have filed accounts with UK Companies House showing a turnover (Revenues) in one year of at least £10,000.
- Past winners and/or applicants are welcome to re-apply.
- The applicant must have an active business online presence.
- The applicant must join the Facebook group Stelios Awards for Disabled Entrepreneurs in the UK.
- Applicants may apply as many times as they like with different companies, but may not submit more than one application per organisation.
