Deadline Date: January 20, 2026
The Ministry of Culture of Greece has put out a fresh call for proposals under its Disabled people programme, offering support for cultural‑artistic actions that promote universal accessibility for people with disabilities.
Through this call, organisations can seek funding or endorsement to mount programmes that foster the participation of persons with disabilities in cultural life. The opportunity supports inclusive artistic creation, events or activities that involve — or are aimed at — people with disabilities, with the purpose of promoting access, combating discrimination and enabling the full creative and social expression of individuals with special needs.
Applicants must be registered in the official Registry of Cultural Actors. Established organisations need to provide recent artistic and financial reports, while newly formed entities can submit a plan for 2026. If collaborating with other bodies, the main implementing organisation must submit the proposal; foreign partners are allowed only if the lead organisation is Greek.
Proposals will be evaluated on how well they align with the programme’s goals — whether they promote artists with disabilities, support inclusive cultural events involving people with and without disabilities, and help overcome barriers to cultural participation. Special attention will be given to initiatives that enable employment of people with disabilities, include audiovisual accessibility (such as subtitles, audio description, sign language), and foster social inclusion through culture.
This call from the Ministry represents a meaningful chance to make culture more accessible and inclusive across Greece. For organisations committed to inclusion, equality and creative expression, this funding can help bring forward projects that give voice and visibility to artists and audiences with disabilities, strengthening both individual empowerment and cultural diversity.
