Deadline: 14 August 2025
Submissions are now open for the Micro Wind Energy – A Bharat Startup Grand Challenge, in collaboration with ITC Limited.
Themes for Challenges
- Micro Wind Energy
Problem Statement
- Renewable energy (RE) opportunities across manufacturing locations:
- Currently, ITC Limited has overall RE footprint of more than 50% and is continuously targeting to the increase the same. As part of the ongoing initiatives following are the areas of exploration where they are looking for potential solutions:
- Harnessing Wind Power in states (Kolkata-West Bengal and Munger- Bihar Factory for example) with lower wind energy generation potential and with limited space available (Compact Wind Mills) in factories rather than dedicated wind farm locations
- The solution should be cost effective. In the ideal case the solutions should be indigenous or India based and should be feasible for field implementation.

The monetary considerations will be paid out in a combination of advance and staged payments basis milestones reached.
- Revenue Opportunity: Given the pilot is successful, the solution could be extended to other ITC manufacturing sites. There is an opportunity of least 10 more such sites.
