Deadline Date: September 16, 2026
The EIT Health Innovation Uptake Call invites consortia to accelerate the adoption and commercialisation of mature digital, data-driven, and AI-powered healthcare solutions that are ready to scale across European healthcare markets.
The key focus areas of the call include commercialisation pilots in real-world healthcare settings, product usability testing and market adaptation, go-to-market strategy and business model validation, health economics analysis, and reimbursement pathway development.
The programme aims to support clinically validated healthcare innovations by accelerating market entry, generating real-world evidence, strengthening market access, and promoting the adoption of innovative healthcare solutions across healthcare systems.
The call has a total funding budget of up to €5.2 million and will support up to eight projects. Each selected project can receive a maximum of €650,000, with funding covering up to 50% of the total project costs. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) leading projects are expected to receive between €400,000 and €500,000 within the grant.
Applications must be submitted by consortia consisting of at least two independent legal entities from different countries. The consortium must include partners representing at least two sides of the Knowledge Triangle, comprising industry, research, and education. Projects must be led by a commercialising entity, such as an SME or industry partner, responsible for bringing the innovation to market.
Applicants must be legal entities established in eligible Horizon Europe countries, including European Union Member States, associated countries, or other eligible third countries. Individual applicants are not eligible to apply.
Funded projects are expected to launch their innovation to the market and generate at least €10,000 in revenue within one year after project completion. They should also aim to reach at least 150,000 patients or citizens within three years, while generating strong clinical, economic, and commercial evidence to support adoption and demonstrating scalable and sustainable deployment models across European markets.
