The Productisation Grant provides financial assistance to startups in the product development stage to help convert their Minimum Viable Prototype (MVP) into a market-ready product, with special provisions for women-led startups.
The Productisation Grant was established to address the funding gap faced by startups transitioning from prototype to market-ready product, particularly those developing innovative technology-based solutions. This initiative is part of Kerala Startup Mission’s broader strategy to foster a robust startup ecosystem by supporting early-stage companies in their journey towards commercialization.
The grant specifically targets startups that have developed a Minimum Viable Prototype (MVP) and are ready to undertake further product development, testing, validation, and early market entry. The scheme is designed to strengthen the productization process and accelerate the path to market for technology-driven startups.
Funding is provided in milestone-based tranches, with eligible startups able to receive up to ₹7 lakhs, and women-led startups (where women hold the major share) eligible for up to ₹12 lakhs. Startups that have previously received the Idea Grant may apply for the remaining eligible amount, up to ₹4 lakhs. The grant is intended exclusively for startups that own innovative technology products.
Eligibility criteria require applicants to be startups at the product development stage, incorporated as a Private Limited, LLP, or OPC with active status in the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, and possessing a KSUM Unique ID. Only startups with innovative technology products are considered, and those who have already availed the Idea Grant may only claim the remaining eligible amount.
