The #BeActive EU Sport Awards – Inclusion is seeking applications to recognise and celebrate the achievements of sport organisations and stakeholders that successfully promote sport and physical activity across Europe.
The focus areas, of the Awards include promoting sport and physical activity as a means to support health, inclusion, inter-generational dialogue, volunteering, and peace across Europe, with activities taking place in educational establishments, workplaces, and local communities, as well as initiatives aimed at overcoming barriers to sport participation for people with fewer opportunities, supporting inter-generational connections through sport and physical activity, addressing social challenges, empowering disadvantaged groups, and fostering community engagement through volunteering in sport.
The BeActive-EU-SPORT-AWARDS Inclusion category recognises sport activities implemented by organisations that have successfully used sport as a tool to promote social inclusion, gender equality, diversity, and unity. It highlights efforts that break down barriers, empower and include underrepresented groups, and use sport to foster understanding, peace, and diversity in society.
This category rewards initiatives that address social challenges and support disadvantaged groups such as ethnic minorities, people with disabilities, and vulnerable young people. It highlights the transformative power of sport in building bridges, empowering communities, and shaping a more inclusive and united society.
The funding for the #BeActive EU Sport Awards 2026 is €25,000.00, supporting initiatives that contribute to promoting inclusion and social cohesion through sport and physical activity across eligible countries.
The Awards aim to give visibility to actions that successfully promote inclusion through sport while encouraging broader participation and community engagement across Europe.
Eligibility requires applicants to be legal entities, including natural persons, private or public bodies, and international organisations, established in eligible countries such as EU Member States, overseas countries and territories, and non-EU countries associated with the Erasmus+ Programme or in ongoing association negotiations.
