The Boosting Trade through EU Standards Alignment Grant Scheme aims to support SMEs and microbusinesses in the Turkish Cypriot community in aligning with EU standards and strengthening trade opportunities across the Green Line and the wider EU market.
The grant scheme focuses on EU standards alignment, product quality and business processes, innovation and competitiveness, digitalisation, green transition, and market access. It is designed to help businesses improve their operations and competitiveness while creating pathways for increased trade and market expansion.
The programme, implemented under the eunite initiative, provides direct financial support to eligible manufacturers, producers, and business-to-business service providers. Through targeted investments, participating businesses will be able to enhance their compliance with EU standards and improve the quality of their products and services.
Under Lot 1, direct support is available to small and medium-sized enterprises through grants ranging from EUR 20,000 to EUR 60,000. Up to 40 SMEs are expected to benefit from this funding stream, with an indicative total allocation of EUR 1.7 million. This support is intended to help businesses undertake investments that strengthen their operational capacity and market readiness.
Under Lot 2, direct support is available to microbusinesses through grants of up to EUR 20,000. The funding stream is expected to support up to 30 microbusinesses, with an indicative total allocation of EUR 450,000. The assistance will enable smaller enterprises to improve their business processes and align more closely with EU requirements.
All applicants are required to demonstrate a clear commitment to aligning with EU standards. By improving product quality, business processes, and overall competitiveness, participating businesses can enhance their potential to access and trade across the Green Line and within the wider EU market.
