Deadline Date: June 11, 2026
The “la Caixa” Foundation has launched the Call for Social Projects Castilla-La Mancha 2026 to support initiatives aimed at people in situations of social vulnerability, with the objective of promoting social inclusion, equal opportunities, improved quality of life, and stronger social cohesion in Castilla-La Mancha.
The call focuses on areas including older people, people with disabilities, mental disorders or illness, and poverty and social inclusion. It also supports cross-cutting lines of action such as social and employment integration, educational opportunities for equity, access to temporary residential resources, intercultural coexistence and social cohesion, promotion and protection of health and mental health, prevention of violence and addictions, and culture as a driver for social transformation.
Priority actions include promoting decision-making and self-governance among older people, preventing unwanted loneliness and social isolation, supporting people with disabilities and/or mental disorders to achieve independent living, and addressing situations of special vulnerability through comprehensive and intersectional approaches.
The call seeks to strengthen projects that address vulnerability in a holistic and person-centered way. Initiatives are expected to improve the living conditions and well-being of vulnerable groups while fostering inclusion and participation within society. Special attention is given to projects that integrate collaborative actions, community engagement, intergenerational perspectives, and support networks.
For people with disabilities, mental disorders, or illness, the call supports initiatives that enhance autonomy, independent living, and inclusion in society. It also promotes social-healthcare projects, psychosocial and spiritual support, comprehensive care models, and assistance for individuals facing chronic or advanced illness and palliative care situations. The importance of supporting caregivers and strengthening community support systems is also highlighted. Selected projects may request funding of up to €50,000 for initiatives with a maximum duration of 12 months.
Projects will be evaluated based on their alignment with the call’s objectives and their ability to address multiple vulnerabilities through intersectional and gender-sensitive approaches. Applicants are encouraged to develop comprehensive proposals that consider social, economic, health, cultural, and gender-related factors throughout the project lifecycle.
Eligible applicants include non-profit entities and social economy organizations whose statutes explicitly state social cohesion or social and/or cultural interest as a main objective. Organizations must be registered in the appropriate administrative registry, have their headquarters in Castilla-La Mancha, possess their own tax identification number, and demonstrate at least one year of activity before the application deadline. Public administrations are not eligible to apply.
