Deadline Date: June 11, 2026
The Call for Social Projects Castile and León 2026 aims to support social initiatives that work with people in situations of social vulnerability in Castilla y León, promoting social inclusion, equal opportunities, social cohesion, and improved quality of life.
The call focuses on areas such as older people, people with disabilities, mental disorders or illness, and poverty and social inclusion. It also supports cross-cutting lines of action including social and employment integration, educational opportunities for equity, access to temporary residential resources, intercultural coexistence and social cohesion, promotion and protection of health and mental health, prevention of violence and addictions, and culture as a driver for social transformation.
Priorities under the older people category include promoting decision-making and self-governance, preventing loneliness and social isolation, and addressing situations of special vulnerability. Priorities for people with disabilities, mental disorders or illness include promoting independent living and decision-making skills, supporting integrated social and healthcare actions, and strengthening inclusive community support networks.
The “la Caixa” Foundation launched this territorial call as part of its 2026 Social Projects Calls for Proposals, which cover all autonomous communities in Spain, as well as Ceuta and Melilla. The initiative seeks to support projects that contribute to building a more inclusive, equitable, and supportive society while reinforcing the foundation’s existing social programs, including Caixa Proinfancia, Incorpora, the Program for Older People, and the Comprehensive Care Program for People with Advanced Diseases.
Eligible applicants include non-profit organizations and social economy entities that are legally registered and domiciled in Castilla y León. Public administrations are not eligible to apply. Entities with ongoing agreements under the 2025 Social Projects Calls must submit a progress report on the implementation status of their current projects when applying for the new funding round. Projects can request funding of up to €50,000, and the proposed activities must have a maximum duration of 12 months.
The projects submitted should adopt comprehensive approaches that address multiple vulnerabilities and intersectionality. The call values initiatives that incorporate a gender perspective, personalized care models, community participation, and collaborative actions that improve social inclusion and well-being for vulnerable groups.
