Deadline Date: April 30, 2026
The FairWays Foundation provides support to conservation-based projects where demonstrated belief and commitment contribute meaningfully to long-term environmental change.
Successful applications focus on three key areas: water conservation and stewardship through improved maintenance practices on golf courses and other turf or ornamental properties to reduce water use or improve water quality; habitat conservation and stewardship by adapting maintenance practices to support native ecosystems and water education initiatives that raise community awareness about water use, challenges, and sustainability within the golf and professional turf and ornamental industry.
They do not fund applications that fall outside the three key focus areas. This includes, but is not limited to, projects related to clean drinking water, harvesting rainwater for irrigation, alternative energy sources, agriculture, or agroforestry. They also do not fund expansions of general operating expenses, capital improvements, event sponsorships or promotional items, political campaigns, research projects, individual applicants, or capital expenses.
Eligibility is limited to organizations or initiatives that align with the foundation’s focus areas and that can demonstrate measurable environmental impact, strategic planning, and community or ecological benefits within golf or professional turf and ornamental management contexts.
Successful applicants must present a clear strategy and define measurable goals and objectives that allow the evaluation of project success over time. These elements help ensure that funded initiatives produce meaningful and lasting environmental outcomes.
