The Queensland Government’s Innovation Events Fund is designed to support innovation-driven organisations in delivering events that strengthen Queensland’s innovation ecosystem and drive economic growth, improved quality of life, and long-term prosperity.
The focus areas, of the Fund include fostering a strong, inclusive, and sustainable innovation ecosystem, supporting innovation-led events and activities, encouraging collaboration and partnerships, sharing knowledge, developing innovation capabilities, accelerating the development of new and emerging technologies and industries, building skills and connections of event participants, and contributing to Queensland’s productivity and economic development.
The Fund provides grant funding ranging from $10,000 to $25,000, covering up to 50% of the total cash expenditure budget required to deliver eligible events. Through these events, participants develop skills, knowledge, and connections, which support the growth of Queensland’s innovation sector and contribute to the establishment of a mature and prosperous innovation ecosystem across the state.
Certain applicants are ineligible, including individuals or unincorporated groups, government agencies, statutory bodies, political parties, organisations that have not met previous reporting requirements, those seeking funding for events already supported outside this Fund, or organisations already funded through other departmental innovation programs unless the request addresses a new and unique priority.
