Deadline Date: April 30, 2026
The Signature Events Attraction and Retention Fund is now accepting applications to support large‑scale, professionally delivered events that have a proven track record of success for at least two years.
The grant focuses on strengthening Redlands identity by supporting major events that showcase the Redlands Coast and foster pride and connection within the community, creating inclusive and engaging experiences for residents and visitors through vibrant and culturally rich events, and generating long‑term social and economic benefits by attracting visitors and professional events that deliver lasting value for the community and the local economy.
Applicants may request up to $60,000 per financial year for a period of up to three years, with the flexibility to nominate a preferred funding duration between one and three years, allowing support to align with the ongoing development of signature events, tourism outcomes, and long‑term sustainability.
To be eligible, applicants must be either not‑for‑profit incorporated entities or registered under an Act of Parliament (including auspicing organisations) or for‑profit businesses. Applicants must hold an active ABN, be operating and financially viable, maintain Public Liability Insurance of $20 million, and have a bank account in the name of the legal entity. All funded events must be delivered within Redland City, and applicants must demonstrate a proven history of successful event delivery, with events held for at least two years. Where applicants submit multiple applications for the same project across any Council program, they must select only one to be considered. Applicants who have received successful funding for three consecutive years are less likely to be prioritised, and applicants cannot reapply until successful acquittal of any multiyear funding.
Certain entities cannot apply for funding, including individuals, government or semi‑government organisations such as hospitals and libraries, schools and education institutions including P&Cs, childcare and after‑school care providers, political parties and lobby groups, industry bodies without direct community benefit, applicants with outstanding debt or overdue grant acquittals to Council, and organisations already receiving Council funding for the same project.
