Bangalore Bioinnovation Centre, supported by the Department of Electronics, IT and BT, Government of Karnataka, in association with the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India, is introducing an initiative to empower women entrepreneurs with innovative ventures.
The program focuses on HealthTech, AgriTech, FoodTech, Climate Tech, and Industry 5.0, with core objectives to nurture and grow early-stage women entrepreneurs, accelerate growth-stage women entrepreneurs to scale up their ventures, make the startup ecosystem in Karnataka more inclusive, and create a sustainable, collaborative environment that fosters innovation, diversity, and gender equity within the entrepreneurial community in Karnataka.
The six-month acceleration program, named WE-Escalate, is designed to support women-led startups that are ready for growth and scaling. Participants will benefit from expert mentorship across business, technology, and scaling, along with guidance on product commercialization and intellectual property strategy. The program emphasizes market access, customer validation, and deployment, while also providing investor readiness support and connections to funding opportunities.
Eligible startups must be women-led or women-founded and registered in Karnataka, ensuring that the initiative directly strengthens the regional entrepreneurial ecosystem. By providing this targeted support, the program aims to create a robust platform for women entrepreneurs to transform their innovative ideas into scalable, impactful businesses.
