The SME Enhance Grant Scheme is now accepting grant applications to support micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises in investing to expand, diversify, and innovate their operations while improving productivity.
The scheme focuses on promoting entrepreneurship by facilitating the economic exploitation of new ideas, fostering the creation of new firms including through business incubators, reaping the benefits of digitisation for citizens, companies, research organisations, and public authorities, and enhancing sustainable growth, competitiveness, and job creation in SMEs through productive investments.
The SME Enhance Grant Scheme provides non-repayable grants to part-finance investments that aim to improve the productivity of eligible enterprises. This includes funding for expansion, diversification, innovation, and initial investment activities.
The scheme is active until 31 December 2026, subject to the availability of funds, with an initial budget allocation of €6,000,000. Grants range from a minimum of €10,000 to a maximum of €128,400 per undertaking, including an additional 7% flat rate to cover indirect costs related to the investment.
Eligible applicants include micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises engaged in economic activities, irrespective of their legal form. Start-ups that meet these criteria are also eligible, provided they are registered under the relevant legal framework if not possessing full legal personality.
The SME Enhance Grant Scheme seeks to strengthen SMEs’ ability to compete in a smart, innovative, and digitally-enabled economy while fostering sustainable growth, productivity improvements, and job creation across Europe.
