Deadline: 2-Feb-2026
The European Union, in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the International Organization for Migration (IOM), has launched a public call for the selection of beneficiaries to support businesses affected by the floods in October 2024.
The focus areas of this initiative include emergency interventions in damage repair caused by natural disasters, providing permanent housing and economic empowerment to affected households, repairing public institutions and basic utility infrastructure, and supporting businesses in re-establishing their operations.
The public call is open to business entities operating in the municipalities of Fojnica, Kreševo, Kiseljak, Vareš, and Drvar that employ between 1 and 250 workers, generate a total annual revenue of up to 97,790,000.00 KM, and/or have a business asset value of up to 84,099,400.00 KM. Selected businesses will receive assistance as part of the EU Flood Recovery Support Project in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Applications for participation must be submitted between January 5, 2026, and February 2, 2026, by 4:00 PM. Interested applicants are required to carefully review the “Public Call for Business Entities” document, which outlines all eligibility criteria and instructions for completing the application. Supporting documentation necessary for submission includes the Project Proposal Form (Attachment 1), the Declaration (Attachment 2), and the Letter of Intent on Co-financing (Attachment 3).
The project, implemented in cooperation with local government units and the Investment Foundation Impakt Sarajevo, aims to restore business operations disrupted by the 2024 floods, contributing to the economic recovery and resilience of the affected communities. By providing targeted support to eligible businesses, the initiative seeks to mitigate the long-term impact of natural disasters on local economies.
