The Maharashtra State Innovation Society under the Government of Maharashtra has launched the Punyashlok Ahilyadevi Holkar Women Startup Scheme to support and fund women-led startups in the state.
The scheme focuses on funding women-led startups, boosting innovation, promoting entrepreneurship among women, and providing necessary support for business growth.
This initiative aims to strengthen the innovation and entrepreneurship landscape for women in Maharashtra by providing targeted support and opportunities for growth. By enabling access to funding, the scheme empowers women entrepreneurs to develop their ideas into scalable businesses and contribute to the state’s startup ecosystem.
The scheme is designed to help startups expand and take their ideas to the next level by offering financial support and encouragement to women entrepreneurs. Eligible startups must be recognized by DPIIT and registered in Maharashtra, with women holding more than 51% stake in the company. The startup should have been operational for more than one year, with MCA registration before 20th November 2024, and have a total revenue between INR 10 lakhs and INR 1 crore. Additionally, the women-led startup should not have previously received any other financial grant benefits from the Government of Maharashtra.
