The VELS University is seeking grant applications to support women entrepreneurs in growing their startups.
The program aims to strengthen early-stage, women-led startups by providing financial assistance, structured incubation, and capacity-building support, helping founders turn innovative ideas into successful businesses.
Winners of VFund 2026 will receive a seed fund of ₹2,00,000 along with incubation support at the Vels Innovation Council (VIC), offering access to mentorship, resources, and a collaborative environment to grow their startups. The program is structured to provide guidance and tools that early-stage entrepreneurs need to scale their ventures effectively.
The program is open to women entrepreneurs with innovative and viable business ideas. Eligible applicants must be women (with at least one woman co-founder), under 45 years of age, and their startup must be a registered entity in Tamil Nadu. The startup should have a minimum of 51% women ownership, or a woman serving as Founder/CEO. VFund 2026 welcomes applications from VELS students, alumni, faculty, as well as the general public, creating an inclusive platform to foster women-led innovation.
