The JETRO has launched a call for overseas deep-tech startups to participate in the Global Startup EXPO 2026 (GSE 2026), offering an opportunity to showcase innovative technologies, expand into Japan, and connect with leading corporations and investors.
The opportunity focuses on deep-tech innovation, expansion into the Japanese market, business matching with Japanese corporates and investors, participation in the Global Startup EXPO 2026, startup exhibition, and networking within the global startup ecosystem.
JETRO will select up to 20 overseas deep-tech startups to exhibit at the Global Startup EXPO 2026, which will take place from 5 to 7 October 2026 at Grand Green Osaka in Osaka, Japan. The event is expected to bring together more than 5,000 attendees, including investors, corporations, and startup ecosystem stakeholders.
Selected startups will receive a complimentary exhibition booth, free participant passes, business matching opportunities with Japanese corporations and investors, and a Japanese-localized startup profile prepared by JETRO.
To be eligible, applicants must be deep-tech startups registered under JETRO’s Invest Japan Anken or J-Bridge support programmes and have an English-speaking or Japanese-speaking representative available.
