Program Goals & Priorities
- This program is funded by ARPA to support small businesses most impacted by COVID-19. Funding priorities include:
- Businesses that did not receive PPP or other federal assistance
- Businesses in areas ranked in the bottom two quartiles of the CA Healthy Places Index
- Businesses significantly impacted by COVID-19 (e.g., decline in employees or revenue)
- Motivated business owners dedicated to using funds to stabilize and grow their operations
Funding Information
- Grant Awards:
- $5,000 for solopreneurs
- Up to $7,500 for businesses with 2-5 employees and/or a physical location
- Up to $10,000 for businesses with more than 5 employees
Eligibility Criteria
- To qualify, your business must meet the following criteria:
- Experienced negative impacts from COVID-19
- Located in Richmond (brick-and-mortar, home-based, or delivery businesses included)
- Annual gross revenue under $1 million
Ineligibility Criteria
- Ineligible businesses include: gas stations, franchises, smoke shops, churches, and nonprofit organizations.
Requirements
- Grant recipients must complete at least 4 hours of free business consultations or workshops provided by the Renaissance Center to receive funds.
