The Film Meeting funding opportunity is seeking applications to support national and international film events that contribute to the advancement of the film industry.
The key focus areas of the scheme include strengthening the professional film sector, increasing the expertise and networks of Dutch film professionals, raising the profile of film in the Kingdom of the Netherlands, stimulating knowledge development, innovation, diversity, collaboration with other art disciplines, promoting international co-production, and supporting the Dutch film industry abroad.
The Film Meeting scheme supports two types of eligible activities: National Film Meetings and International Film Events.
A National Film Meeting can include a film meeting or a series of up to four meetings in the Kingdom of the Netherlands. These meetings aim to increase the expertise and networks of Dutch film professionals and promote film by encouraging knowledge development, innovation, diversity, and collaboration with other art disciplines.
An International Film Event, such as a presentation or promotional activity aimed at the Dutch film sector, may also receive support. These events focus on film professionals and aim to encourage international co-production and promote the Dutch film industry abroad.
For organizing a national film event, a contribution of up to 50% of the total costs can be requested, with a maximum amount of €25,000.
Applications can be submitted by a legal entity specialized in the field of film. The applicant must not be a sole proprietorship or general partnership and must be established in the Kingdom of the Netherlands, a member state of the EU or EEA, or Switzerland.
The applicant must also be responsible for organizing previous film meetings and must have built up a track record in organizing such events.
