The Regional Events Sponsorship Framework by Hindmarsh Shire Council provides event sponsorship of up to $7,500 to support regionally significant events that attract visitors, stimulate local economic activity, and enhance tourism within Hindmarsh Shire.
The Regional Events Sponsorship Framework is an initiative of the Hindmarsh Shire Council, previously known as the Regional Community Events Grant Program, designed to support the delivery of high-quality events that highlight the unique character and vibrancy of Hindmarsh Shire. The program aims to elevate the region’s profile by investing in events that attract new audiences, generate economic and social benefits, and align with the Council’s strategic priorities for regional activation and destination development.
Funding is available through a single stream, offering event sponsorship of up to $7,500 to assist organisers in delivering regionally significant events. The sponsorship is intended to enhance tourism, strengthen community pride, and contribute to the economic vitality of the Shire, with the requirement that the requested amount does not exceed half of the total event cost.
Eligible applicants include incorporated community organisations, not-for-profit groups, event committees, or eligible businesses operating within or delivering an event in Hindmarsh Shire. Events must be held within the Shire, demonstrate measurable economic and visitation benefits, and contribute to tourism or regional profile building. Applicants must also show organisational capacity, a viable event budget, and alignment with Council’s strategic objectives. Events that are primarily private, political, religious, profit-driven without community benefit, or solely fundraising are not eligible for sponsorship.
