Deadline Date: September 04, 2026
The Launchpad Opportunity is designed for startups with users or already generating revenue, providing them with the chance to pitch their business, connect with investors, and compete for cash prizes without participating in the full acceleration program.
The opportunity focuses on supporting startups in Stage 3 (MVP with users) and Stage 4 (generating revenue). It aims to help startups showcase their progress, validate their solutions, expand their professional network, access selected foundational accelerator workshops on a non-mandatory basis, compete for cash prizes, and pitch to investors seeking promising investment opportunities.
Launchpad allows eligible startups to bypass the acceleration program and proceed directly to the final pitching event. Startups compete alongside other growth-stage ventures for a chance to win a cash prize while gaining valuable exposure to investors and industry professionals.
Accepted teams may also request access to selected foundational accelerator workshops, subject to approval by the CyEC team. These workshops are optional and are intended to support startup growth without requiring participation in the accelerator program.
The pitching event provides opportunities to network with leading business professionals, innovative entrepreneurs, and potential investors. It also enables startups to present their business potential and strengthen connections within the entrepreneurial ecosystem.
The funding amount is offered in the form of cash prizes, with the specific prize amount not specified. To be eligible, applicants must have a startup in Stage 3 (MVP with users) or Stage 4 (generating revenue). Each team must consist of at least two individuals, with at least one team member being a resident of the Republic of Cyprus, and all applicants must be over 18 years of age. A registered company is not required to apply.
However, if a team wins, they must register a company in Cyprus to receive the prize. If a team already has a registered company, it must be registered in Cyprus and have been established within the last five years. The startup should have strong global growth potential, seek funding or capital, possess the capabilities to successfully launch a product or service, and be able to clearly communicate its business potential.
Applications must be submitted within the specified timeline, as late submissions will not be accepted. The CyEC organizing committee may disqualify applications that do not meet the competition requirements. Teams that have previously won a prize through CyEC are not eligible to apply again, while all other teams may apply a maximum of two times, provided they continue to meet the eligibility criteria.
