AID4SME Open Call #2 is designed to help SMEs and start-ups develop innovative AI and data-based solutions for industrial resource optimisation challenges. The programme supports projects that address real-world sustainability and efficiency needs connected to the objectives of the Green Deal.
Through this initiative, up to 12 projects will receive funding of up to €200,000 each to develop and deploy their solutions over a period of up to 14 months. Selected participants will also receive mentoring, coaching, and training support to maximise the impact and growth of their projects.
The programme brings together scientific and industrial partners to provide technology blocks, low-TRL playgrounds, and real-life industrial challenges. Industry partners from sectors including automotive, whitegoods, battery, and energy contribute use cases and testing environments to help participants validate and demonstrate their solutions.
AID4SME also aims to build a long-term Community of Practice that connects SMEs, start-ups, industry experts, and researchers. This network is intended to continue beyond the project duration and support collaboration, knowledge sharing, and business growth opportunities.
Applications are open to SMEs and start-ups either as single entities or as part of small consortia. Additional partners such as industry organisations, integrators, research institutions, and non-profit organisations may also participate to support testing, validation, and integration activities.
