Deadline Date: March 20, 2026
The Zero Emission Vehicle Infrastructure Program (ZEVIP) is offering to support the adoption of zero-emission vehicles by increasing the availability of localized charging and hydrogen refuelling stations where Canadians live, work, travel, and play.
The program focuses on addressing the lack of infrastructure as a barrier to zero-emission vehicle adoption, providing funding to eligible entities to deploy charging and hydrogen refuelling solutions, promoting cleaner transportation, and supporting sustainable mobility across Canada.
Under ZEVIP, NRCan will contribute up to 2 million dollars ($2,000,000) per project, with each applicant allowed to submit a maximum of two project proposals during the intake. The funding aims to enhance access to zero-emission vehicle refuelling infrastructure in strategic locations, helping communities transition toward low-carbon transportation.
Eligible applicants include legal entities incorporated or registered in Canada or abroad, such as electric utilities, companies, industry associations, Indigenous businesses registered under the Indigenous Business Directory, community groups, and Canadian provincial, territorial, regional, or municipal governments or their departments or agencies. Individuals, federal public administration bodies, Crown corporations, agencies, and softwood lumber companies or those vertically integrated with them are not eligible for funding.
