Deadline Date: March 22, 2026
The Université Côte d’Azur Foundation, in partnership with the Alpes-Maritimes Department, is launching an initiative to promote sustainable water management across the region.
The Water Trophies focus on encouraging concrete and innovative initiatives, promoting projects with a territorial impact, and supporting the sustainable and responsible management of water resources in the Alpes-Maritimes.
The program features two calls for applications aimed at recognizing and supporting committed projects. The Education & Society Trophy, valued at €5,000, will reward a project carried out by students or an association that contributes to the sustainable development of the Middle and Upper Country of the Alpes-Maritimes, with careful attention to water and aquatic ecosystems. The Young Company Trophy, valued at €15,000, is designed for start-ups or young companies developing innovations for improved water management or enhancement, with a particular emphasis on relevance to the tourism sector in the Alpes-Maritimes territories.
A distinguished jury will evaluate the applications, composed of researchers and teacher-researchers, business leaders or cluster representatives, members of the Université Côte d’Azur Foundation, representatives from the Alpes-Maritimes Department, members of IMREDD, and the coordinator of the partnership chair “Water in the territories of the Alpes-Maritimes”. This diverse panel ensures that both scientific rigor and practical territorial impact are taken into account in the selection process.
The Water Trophies represent an important opportunity for students, associations, and young companies to showcase their initiatives, receive financial support, and contribute to the sustainable management of water resources in the Alpes-Maritimes. By combining innovation, education, and entrepreneurial spirit, the program seeks to foster solutions that have a tangible impact on local communities and ecosystems.
