National Youth Council of Malawi is pleased to announce the reopening of the application window for the Youth Innovation Fund (YIF) — this round is exclusively open for youth-led Innovations in the Tourism sector.
YIF is a national vehicle for investing in youth-led solutions that address priority development challenges in Malawi’s tourism sector. Through a structured support system, the Fund will catalyze the transformation of early-stage ideas into viable, scalable, and job-creating enterprises.
Innovation Categories
- Smart tourism platforms (AI/AR-enabled travel guides, apps, digital maps)
- Sustainable eco-tourism models that protect nature and uplift local communities.
- Cultural heritage preservation through immersive tech(e.g., VR tours of heritage sites)
- Green transport or accommodation solutions in the tourism sector
- Any creative solution promoting Malawi as a destination
