Applicants are now invited applications to support startups and companies in developing and commercialising innovative solutions through cross-border collaboration.
The programme focuses on joint innovation projects between Singapore and South Korea companies, supporting research and development, commercialisation of products, technology-based services and methods, business expansion, development of market-ready solutions with strong commercial potential, and eligibility requirements including company registration in Singapore, local equity ownership conditions, financial readiness, and collaborative civilian-focused innovation projects.
The Singapore–South Korea Joint R&D Call is jointly administered by Enterprise Singapore and the Korea Institute for Advancement of Technology. It is designed to encourage collaboration between companies from both countries to develop innovative solutions that can be brought to market.
Under this programme, Singapore companies can partner with South Korea companies to submit joint applications for research and development projects. The initiative supports the creation of new products, services, and technology-based methods with strong commercial potential, helping businesses expand internationally.
Funding support is available for Singapore companies, covering up to 70% of project costs. Each consortium must include at least one company from Singapore and one from South Korea, and both partners must be independent entities contributing to the project.
To be eligible, Singapore companies must be registered and operating in Singapore, have at least 30% local equity held by Singapore citizens or permanent residents, and demonstrate financial readiness to complete the project. The collaboration must focus on civilian applications and the development of innovative solutions through joint efforts.
