The Music Works Grant Program is currently accepting applications to supports Victoria’s contemporary music industry by helping artists, music workers, businesses and organisations create new work, build careers and strengthen the state’s music sector.

The Project Grants offer funding ranging from $10,000 to $40,000 for larger strategic initiatives that require more detailed applications. These grants are intended for projects that deliver broader outcomes for the music sector through collaboration, innovation and industry development.

The funding cannot be used for competitions, awards, fundraising activities, private tuition or ongoing study, expenses, grant writing fees, general business start-up costs, unrelated equipment purchases, projects funded through certain other Victorian or Australian Government funding programs, or activities that do not meet industry payment standards or appropriate cultural protocols.
