The ICSI National Awards recognise companies demonstrating excellence in corporate governance practices and promoting responsible corporate functioning.
The awards focus on implementing best practices in corporate governance, recognising leadership efforts of corporate boards, acknowledging innovative practices, programmes and projects that promote corporate governance, and encouraging companies to focus on governance practices in their functioning.
The Institute of Company Secretaries of India established the ICSI National Awards for Excellence in Corporate Governance in 2001 to promote good governance practices among corporates and recognise companies worthy of being exemplified.
The awards include categories under the listed and unlisted segments. The listed segment includes Top 100 Large-Cap, 101-250 Mid-Cap, 251 onwards Emerging (Small-Cap), all listed SMEs, all debt listed entities, and large entities with ₹5000 crore and above.
The unlisted segment includes medium companies with ₹5000 crore and ₹1000 crore, and emerging companies with ₹1000 crore, based on market capitalization as on 31 December 2025 and turnover as on 31 March of the financial year.
Listed entities and unlisted companies are eligible to participate in the ICSI National Awards.
