Deadline Date: June 26, 2026
The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is inviting eligible suppliers to submit Expressions of Interest for the provision of End-of-Life technician tools to support refrigerant recovery, recycling, and reclaiming activities under its environmental sustainability initiatives in Malaysia.
The focus areas of this opportunity include strengthening environmental governance, enhancing technical capacity for refrigeration servicing, promoting refrigerant recovery, recycling and reclaiming (RRR) processes, ensuring compliance with international environmental commitments, and supplying specialized End-of-Life technician tools such as recovery machines, vacuum pumps, gauges, leak detection instruments, and related servicing equipment. It also emphasizes supplier capability assessment, market mapping, operational safety, environmental compliance, and the availability of after-sales support and technical services.
This initiative by United Nations Development Programme aims to support national and sub-national authorities in improving the management of refrigerants and reducing harmful emissions through the adoption of best practices in refrigeration servicing. The programme requires reliable and standards-compliant equipment that can operate effectively under field conditions and support both vapor and liquid recovery processes.
Suppliers participating in this Expression of Interest are expected to demonstrate proven experience in supplying refrigeration servicing tools or similar industrial equipment, along with strong financial capacity and compliance with international standards. They must also provide evidence of manufacturing authorization or distributorship arrangements, along with documentation such as audited financial statements and relevant past contracts.
The Expression of Interest also seeks insights from suppliers regarding market challenges, technological innovations, and service delivery capabilities, including maintenance, calibration, and regional service support. This information will help UNDP assess supplier readiness and shortlist vendors for future competitive procurement processes.
