The Vinnova is inviting applications to support small and medium-sized enterprises in accessing semiconductor pilot lines for the testing, validation, and development of advanced technologies.
The focus areas include semiconductor technology development, pilot line utilization, process development, design innovation, material structure advancement, component development, proof-of-concept validation, prototype development, and research and innovation in semiconductor production processes.
The programme provides funding support for Swedish SMEs to access Chips JU pilot lines for developing new semiconductor technologies. These pilot lines are designed to support experimentation, validation, and advancement of innovative semiconductor processes and products.
Applicants can apply for funding to use pilot lines for activities such as developing new semiconductor processes, designing components, improving material structures, and creating prototypes. The support is intended to strengthen technological innovation and production capabilities in the semiconductor sector.
The maximum funding available per project is up to 3.5 million, with a total annual budget of 7 million SEK allocated for the years 2026 and 2027. The funding is aimed at enabling SMEs to scale up research and innovation activities in semiconductor technology.
Eligible applicants include Swedish small and medium-sized enterprises engaged in semiconductor-related activities such as design, production process development, manufacturing, research, and innovation. Applicants must have prior approval to access the pilot line infrastructure under the Chips JU framework.
