Deadline Date: September 29, 2026
The UMX Open Call aims to accelerate the development and delivery of high-quality, sustainable professional training and support services to close the urban mobility knowledge gap.
The call focuses on enhancing the skills and capabilities of mobility professionals and organisations, particularly at the local and city level, to support systemic transformations for more liveable cities. It supports high-quality, impact-oriented, and financially sustainable learning experiences that leverage the expertise and network of EIT Urban Mobility through different learning formats.
The initiative also promotes innovation and entrepreneurship through lifelong learning approaches, encourages courses that comply with EIT Label certification where applicable, and supports activities with strong potential for replication, scalability, long-term impact, and financial sustainability.
The total indicative funding allocated to this call is approximately €2–4 million, with a maximum funding amount of €700,000 available per proposal. Entities that are not yet members of EIT Urban Mobility and receive proposals with total EIT funding below €30,000 may request a reduction in the membership fee for their first year of membership.
The opportunity is open to all legal entities established in European Union Member States and third countries associated with Horizon Europe. Eligible applicants include small and medium enterprises (SMEs), universities, research and technology organisations, cities, and large businesses. Both mono-participant and multi-participant proposals are eligible to apply.
For mono-participant proposals or proposals involving entities from the same country, applicants are expected to demonstrate a pan-European dimension by involving participants, instructors, teaching staff, educational content, and case studies from different European countries. They are also encouraged to replicate and internationalise successful courses in different cities, regions, or countries once the quality of the course has been demonstrated.
