Applications are now open for the Booking.com Hospitality Growth Programme, a two-phase journey for 60 entrepreneurs in the Mpumalanga Lowveld, the Cape West Coast, and KwaZulu-Natal North Coast grow sustainable hospitality businesses.
It’s a practical support programme to help hospitality entrepreneurs grow their businesses and make a bigger impact.
It gives business owners the confidence and knowledge to improve their finances, reach more customers, build better systems, and grow with purpose – while feeling supported every step of the way.
Purpose
- To help local entrepreneurs build businesses that create jobs, strengthen communities, and shape a new future for the South African hospitality industry – one that’s proudly local, inclusive, and full of heart.
Programme Phases
- The programme will run for a total of 9 months. The 9 months of business development support will be rolled out into phases as follows:
- Phase 1 is 6 months – focuses on business fundamentals like pricing, digital marketing and operations for 60 businesses
- Phase 2 is 3 months – dives into branding, scaling and strategic partnerships for 30 businesses

Eligibility Criteria
- The applicant must be an accommodation owner, minimum two rooms available for short-term rental purposes
- The business must be at the establishment stage, ready to grow and show job growth potential
- Annual turnover of the business should range from R50 000 to R5 million
- The business must be at least 51% black owned and managed
- Applicant should be a South African citizen, and the business should operate within these selected areas (Western Cape at the Cape West Coast, KwaZulu Natal at the Durban North Coast and Mpumalanga Lowveld – Outer Kruger area)
- Desire to grow and formalise their business, legally compliant or the desire to be compliant
- Rural/Peri urban across the three regions
- The applicant must be working in the business on a full-time basis
