NXP India Tech Startup Challenge 2025

NXP India is back with Season 5 of “NXP India Tech Startup Challenge” with the purpose of connecting, collaborating and nurturing Indian Technology Startups.

This event aims to drive global visibility and network scalability for tech startups. NXP calls upon agile startups as they get a chance to present to thousands of tech leaders through this event.

Focus Areas

  • Technology Startups focusing on IP, Processors development, Semiconductor fabless ASIC design, and Embedded product development are the target of this initiative.

Funding Information

  • Fiscal Incentives:
    • NXP India: Selected Top 3 Tech Startups will be provided with Total Prize Money of INR 10 Lacs by NXP India distributed equally amongst the winners (including all applicable & withholding taxes).

Benefits

  • Non-Monetary Incentives:
    • NXP India: Industry visibility for Top 10 selected Start-ups to share their business value proposition to NXP and Industry partners along with networking opportunities.
    • Selected Top 3 Tech Startups will be provided with Mentorship opportunity (3 Interactive Sessions with Mentor each month for 3 months) from NXP India Technical Leadership Experts.
    • XTC: Selected Top 3 Tech Startups will be invited as into Extreme Tech Challenge (XTC) to take part as finalist into global competitions.
    • For the global competition, finalists will be publicized by XTC and have their company evaluated by an elite panel of investors for global exposure.
  • Special Category Incentives:
    • Electropreneur Park: Selected Top 10 Tech Startups (applicable to those in embedded system and product design space), will be invited as entrant for up to 3-month Equity-free Pre-Incubation at Electropreneur Park (ESDM Incubator). Benefits will include free of charge access to state-of-the-art ESDM Lab test equipment to convert idea to prototype, Mentorship sessions for business plan refinement, technical mentorship and connect to ESDM suppliers, reimbursement of prototyping expenses up to INR 50,000/-.
    • SFAL: Selected Top 10 Tech Startups (applicable to those in Semiconductor & IP Design space), will be invited as entrant for up to 4-month Equity-free Cohort period together with SFAL – Semiconductor Fabless Acceleration Lab (Semiconductor & IP Design Incubator). Benefits during Cohort period will include Access to In-kind Partner (IKP) assets (worth per startup can be upwards of INR 10L): FPGA Innovation Lab@SFAL and Tools from In-Kind Partners, Access to webinars from SFAL and IKP partners, Guidance on business and investments, etc.
    • INCeNSE: Selected top 10 tech startups (in semiconductor and related areas) will be invited for up to 3-month equity free pre-incubation at INCeNSE at IISc Bengaluru. Benefits during this period include in-kind partner support (worth INR 50,000 per startup via inupi2i program) to use CeNSE facilities for nanofabrication (NNFC), characterisation (MNCF) and system engineering and packaging. Also includes access to events/seminars run by INCeNSE and FSID and mentoring by faculty/research staff (up to 2hrs/month/cohort).

Eligibility Criteria

  • Participant(s): means an entity shall be considered as Startup(s), which:
    • Upto a period of ten years from the date of incorporation/registration, if it is incorporated as a private limited company (as defined in the Companies Act, 2013) or registered as a partnership firm (registered under section 59 of the Partnership Act, 1932) or a limited liability partnership (under the Limited Liability Partnership Act, 2008) in India
    • Turnover of the entity for any of the financial years since incorporation/registration has not exceeded one hundred crore rupees
    • Entity is working towards innovation, development or improvement of products or processes or services, or if it is a scalable business model with a high potential of employment generation or wealth creation.
