Applications are open for the European Startup Prize for Mobility (the “EU Prize”), organized by the European Union Startup Prize, a French association governed by the law on association of 1901 (“EUSP”) under the patronage of the European Parliament, of the European Commission and several partners.
The European Startup Prize for Mobility brings together all major EU institutions, national authorities and leading multinational companies to scout and boost Europe’s most promising clean mobility startups.
By applying to the European Startup Prize for Mobility, you’re not just competing for awards – you’re unlocking unparalleled opportunities to scale your business, gain unmatched visibility all over the continent and connect with the most influential players in the mobility ecosystem.
The EUSP has one clear goal: accelerate the European expansion of the best mobility startups. Focus Areas
- Trigger industry partnership and trade opportunities via special connections, mentoring and demo days with our European partners.
- Channel EU funds and private European investors to the startups via partnerships with multiple EU institutions as well as VCs and private investors.

Eligibility Criteria
- Participation in the EU Prize is free and open to all mobility companies, incorporated in the European Union as well as countries participating in the Horizon Europe programme, and willing to expand at the European level.
Selection Criteria
- There are 9 key selection criteria for the EU Startup Prize for Mobility:
- Innovation – How innovative/game-changing is this product/service?
- Market – How does the traction look for this startup?
- Execution – How would you assess the execution speed of the company since its incorporation?
- Team – How strong and gender-balance does the managing team look?
- Climate – How does it contribute to reducing the carbon footprint in the transports’ sector?
- Environmental impact – How does it tackle other environmental issues such as air pollution, water pollution, use of natural resources, etc.?
- Accessibility and social inclusion – How does it increase accessibility, safety and reduce transportation costs for its users ?
- Territorial inclusion – How does the service/product contribute to reconnecting remote areas, which are suffering from a lack of mobility solutions?
- European scalability – How much will this startup benefit from this European program?
