Deadline Date: June 01, 2026
The Global Innovation Challenge 2026 is requesting applications to support young social entrepreneurs and innovators leading projects and startups that create positive social and environmental impact worldwide.
The focus areas, include supporting youth-led social innovation, advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, promoting social and environmental impact, strengthening community development, encouraging innovation and entrepreneurship, and providing opportunities for leadership growth, funding access, and global collaboration. The programme supports initiatives related to poverty reduction, quality education, gender equality, climate action, health and well-being, clean energy, sustainable communities, responsible consumption, and partnerships for development.
The challenge is designed for young founders aged 18 to 30 who are already leading projects or startups that deliver measurable impact in their communities. It aims to help young innovators scale their ideas and strengthen their long-term social impact through financial support and capacity-building opportunities.
Selected participants can receive grant funding awards ranging from $1,000 to $15,000 USD. In addition to funding, applicants gain access to free founder support, learning resources, and guidance to strengthen their applications and project development.
The programme also provides opportunities for networking, fellowships, paid work, mentorship, and access to a global community of young social leaders and entrepreneurs. Participants will be connected to international opportunities that support continued growth beyond the competition itself.
Applicants must demonstrate that young people hold majority ownership and decision-making authority within the project or startup. Projects can be based anywhere in the world, except for countries subject to UK government financial sanctions.
