The Social Enterprise Awards 2026 is inviting application to recognise and celebrate the achievements of social enterprises driving impact across Uganda.
The focus areas, include honouring excellence in the social enterprise sector under the theme “Honoring Heroes Of The Social Enterprise Sector,” highlighting contributions to sustainable development, job creation, and innovative solutions to community challenges, and promoting scalability, resilience, and collective impact within the sector.
Building on the success of the 2024 and 2025 editions, the 2026 awards continue to strengthen recognition for social enterprises that are driving meaningful change. The programme aims to showcase impactful organisations while encouraging growth, policy engagement, and increased investment in the sector. It also serves as a platform to celebrate achievements while fostering a stronger and more connected social enterprise ecosystem in Uganda.
The awards ceremony is scheduled to take place on 20th November 2026, coinciding with Social Enterprise Day, a global observance that promotes awareness of the social enterprise movement. The initiative reflects ongoing efforts to build visibility and support for organisations contributing to sustainable development and community empowerment.
Eligible participants include registered and non-registered social enterprises, non-governmental organisations, and community-based organisations operating within Uganda. Applicants must have been operational for at least one year and be actively working within the country.
