Deadline Date: September 23, 2026
The European Commission is seeking grant applications to strengthen the implementation of the EU Pact on Migration and Asylum while advancing inclusion, integration, and health equity for migrants and refugees across Europe.
The focus areas, include improving implementation of the EU Pact on Migration and Asylum through evidence-based migration governance, developing legal pathways for migration including circular and permanent schemes, enhancing health equity and access to healthcare for migrants and refugees, and evaluating long-term social inclusion and integration strategies across labour, housing, education, health, and socio-cultural participation.
Funding for this programme totals €12,000,000, with individual project contributions ranging from €3,000,000 to €4,000,000.
The programme aims to support comprehensive research that strengthens migration governance systems and informs policy development across EU Member States. It emphasizes evidence-based analysis of asylum systems, age assessment frameworks for minors, resettlement mechanisms, and crisis migration management while ensuring alignment with human rights standards.
It also focuses on addressing gaps in migrant health data systems by improving integration, quality, and governance of health information. The initiative seeks to identify structural barriers, evaluate existing frameworks, and develop recommendations to improve data use while ensuring privacy and security.
In addition, the programme highlights the need to understand how intersecting factors such as age, gender, disability, and legal status affect health outcomes for migrants and refugees. It encourages research that includes vulnerable populations and uses interdisciplinary approaches to support equitable healthcare access.
Further emphasis is placed on evaluating long-term integration strategies, including labour market participation, housing, education, mobility, and cultural inclusion. Proposals are expected to develop comparative frameworks, identify best practices, and provide policy recommendations that support sustainable integration outcomes across EU, national, and local levels.
