This funding opportunity, provided by the European Partnership on Transforming Health and Care Systems (THCS), supports research and innovation projects that contribute to ensuring equitable access to and utilisation of health and care services across Europe.
The focus areas of this opportunity are ensuring equitable access to and utilisation of health and care services, delivering innovative solutions that enable key stakeholders to reduce inequalities in access to and utilisation of health and care services, building on existing evidence to improve access to all levels of health and care through financial models, models for delivering health and care services and setting up of interdisciplinary integrated care programmes.
The fourth Joint Transnational Call for proposals “Access to Care” aims to fund research and innovation projects that reduce inequalities in access to and utilisation of health and care services while supporting the transformation of health and care systems. Policy and decision makers are expected to gain the knowledge and tools necessary to reallocate resources as the sector adapts to emerging and ongoing challenges. A total of 32 funding agencies participate in this call with an indicative budget of €35 million to support impactful and scalable project outcomes.
The call seeks to enable collaborative efforts across Europe and partner countries to coordinate and optimise research and innovation that strengthens health and care systems. Projects funded under this initiative will build on existing evidence to deliver innovative solutions that improve system accessibility and efficiency for diverse population groups.
The program highlights the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration and supports models for financial accessibility, improved delivery of health and care services and integrated care programmes to ensure equitable care access across all levels.
