The Creative Europe Programme invites proposals to support European Video on Demand (VOD) networks and operators screening a significant proportion of non-national European works to enhance their competitiveness and attractiveness.
The focus of this opportunity is to strengthen cross-border collaboration among European VOD platforms through joint and collaborative activities aimed at increasing the online audience of European audiovisual content, enhance the attractiveness of eligible European VOD platforms for cross-border audiences and online consumption at a larger scale, improve the digital circulation and consumption of European content by boosting its visibility, discoverability, and prominence, and develop new business models to achieve cross-border economies of scope and scale.
This call encourages joint actions across borders aiming to improve the competitiveness and market appeal of European VOD platforms that provide a significant share of non-national European audiovisual works. The project should work towards making European content more accessible, visible, discoverable, and prominent to a wider, global audience both in Europe and internationally. Proposals must also include strategies to foster a more sustainable and environmentally respectful industry, ensuring gender balance, inclusion, diversity, and representativeness.
The available budget for this call is €8,000,000, allocated as CREA Project Grants under a single-stage submission and budget-based grant agreement model.
