Deadline: October 03, 2025
The Womenpreneur Pitch-a-ton program is a unique women-in-business support initiative offered by Access Bank’s W Initiative, aimed at empowering women entrepreneurs through expert training and financial grants.
The focus areas of the Womenpreneur Pitch-a-ton 2025 include providing mini-MBA certification to women entrepreneurs, offering grants of up to 5 million Naira to women-owned small and medium enterprises (WSMEs), supporting women who own at least 50% of their business, ensuring businesses are registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), are innovative, and have been running for at least one year.
Launched in 2019, the program began by providing free mini-MBA certification and financial grants to women entrepreneurs in Nigeria, in partnership with the International Finance Corporation, a World Bank Group member. Since then, it has expanded to ten other African countries where Access Bank’s W Initiative operates. Over 878 women entrepreneurs across Africa have benefited from the mini-MBA certification through the program’s previous seasons. The 2025 edition marks the seventh season, aiming to certify 120 women entrepreneurs in Nigeria while providing grants to help scale their businesses.
Eligible applicants must be women aged between 18 and 55 who own at least 50% of a registered business operating for over a year, with an Access Bank individual or business account. The program enrollment involves a multi-stage process starting with application submission, followed by uploading a one-minute video pitch about the business, and finally participation in the mini-MBA program.
Prize categories include financial grants ranging from N5 million to N1 million Naira for the top winners in the first category, and grants of N500,000 for five other participants, along with various consolation prizes. The application period for the 2025 program closes on October 3rd.
Excluded from eligibility are non-profit organizations, Access Bank employees, contractors, and public office holders. Interested applicants can apply through the program’s website and may reach out via email or phone for further inquiries.
